RE: Faith

From the comments section of this post, a guy named Ryan says that faith is... "the thing that requires me to actively think outside of myself, question logic, live selflessly, and be able to hear a faint voice in a loud world."

I don't think I've ever heard a more beautiful definition.

Exactly why I don't accept any concept that requires "faith" for legitimacy. Anything that requires (not recommends) suspension of logic should be avoided. "'Faith' means not wanting to know what is true."

As far as "living selflessly, and being able to hear a faint voice in a loud world" - these are not traits exclusive to faith - they apply to many faithless people as well.
